Why Recall mYles Mcdougall?

  • Myles votes only along UCP party lines. This means he has voted in favour of:
    • Using the notwithstanding clause four times in the last 2 months, alone! (Bills 2 and 9)

  • Myles votes against Albertans' wishes:
    • An Alberta Pension Plan
    • An Alberta Police Force
    • Two-tiered "American Style" Health Care (Bill 11)
    • Paving the way for Separation (Bill 14)

  • Myles votes to hurt average Albertans by:
    • Cutting eye exam coverage for children and seniors
    • Voting against increasing the minimum wage
    • Voting for increasing MLA monthly house allowance (up to $2200/mo)!
    • Voting to give immunity to AIMCo (Bill 12)

  • Myles is supposedly fiscally responsible, but what about his support of:
    • AIMCo losses?
    • Dynalife Privatization (and it's failure!)
    • Coal Mine Settlements?
    • ... and MORE that Albertan Tax Payers have had to pay for it!

What Votes are hurting you?

  • Bill 12: Financial Statutes Amendment

Myles has voted AGAINST:

  • Bill 201: Raising the provincial minimum wage
    • AB has the lowest minimum wage and it has not increased since 2018)
  • Bill 202: Conflicts of Interest
    • "No More Skyboxes" - limits on gifts with lower disclosure limits
    • Code of conduct for political staff
  • Bill 203: Energy storage and stability
    • This bill would have lowered costs, stabilized the electrical grid, and attract investors
